Testimony of Ellen Bobis Booth
Growing up, I was the oldest of five girls in a large family of 11. We were raised in the Catholic faith, and although I went to church and did all the religious things, there was always something missing. Then, while living in the Philippines, an office worker shared what a relationship with Christ truly meant. It was then that I realized I had been patching up my life with different methods and varieties, and that all my faith now belongs to the spirit of God. In the 90s, I gave my life to Jesus while living in Japan, and I was baptized shortly after. Since then, my faith has been strengthened, and my favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, which reminds me that God has plans for my life and that He is in control. I now strive to do what He wants me to do, not just what I want to do.
